After losing her multi-million dollar company, Kleinberg Sherrill, to her ex-husband, and receiving only $27,000 in compensation, Marcia Sherrill is determined to spare fellow female divorcees from suffering the indignation of unfair marital asset distribution, fearful child custody battles and usurious legal fees.
From her post-divorce 400-square-foot Manhattan apartment, Marcia launched a crusade to empower women, and to help them know and stand up for their rights. With only 18 months of alimony and no health insurance she went back to her roots in interior design. She had worked herself into a luxury sector that was all but dead domestically but she was determined to keep joint custody of her daughter, Anabelle. So, she did what she had to do and ventured into a start-up Interior Design business with her brother, William Sherrill, in her hometown of Birmingham Alabama.
Laying down was not an option.
